Tox Free Rash And Sting Support

Essential Oils Collective Kate Dixon Doterra

We seem to have had such a bad run this Winter with the various viruses going around. On Friday, Alfie came down with another fever and a bit of a rash. By Sunday his entire body was covered with a very angry red rash. Off to the after hours GP and even fully vaccinated, Alfie has contracted the Measles! He has been absolutely miserable the poor kid so I made up an oily blend that I have been applying 2 to 3 times per day.

Given we live on seven bushed filled acres, I think this blend will come in handy during the warmer months when the stingy insects are on the move.

For teens and adults, combine in a small glass jar:

  • 30 ml fractionated coconut oil

  • 5 drops of tea tree oil

  • 5 drops of lavender oil

  • 2 drops of roman chamomile oil

  • Apply with a cotton ball to the affected area

For children over the age of 2, combine in a small glass jar:

  • 30 ml fractionated coconut oil

  • 2 drops of tea tree oil

  • 2 drops of lavender oil

  • 2 drops of roman chamomile oil

  • Apply with a cotton ball to the affected area

This blend of oils is incredibly simple however highly effective.

  • Tea Tree oil - is best known is best known for its purifying, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which make it useful for cleansing the skin, home surfaces and purifying the air.

  • Lavender oil - known for its antimicrobial and antioxidant characteristics, lavender mixed with aloe or coconut oil has profound soothing and calming benefits for your skin.

  • Roman Chamomile oil - while the most common use of chamomile is in teas, Roman Chamomile can also be found in skincare products due to the calming effect it has on the skin.

When making essential oil blends for babies and children ALWAYS check the recommended dilution rates. I use this dilution calculator.
