Toilet Cleaning Bombs

Essential Oils Collective Kate Dixon Doterra

I don't know anyone who enjoys cleaning the throne. I certainly don't but after making this toilet bombs, I do feel a whole lot happier.

These are so easy to make, require only a few ingredients and do such a fantastic job of cleaning.

If you are keen to reduce the toxins in your home, you really only need a few ingredients; bicarb, white vinegar, citric acid and essential oils. I have chosen Lemon and Wild Orange as they have fantastic cleansing properties and smell delicious.

You will need:

  • 1 cup of bicarb

  • 1/4 cup of citric acid

  • white vinegar

  • 30 drops of essential oil/s

  • silicone mould

Mix the bicarb and citric acid together and add just enough vinegar so that the dry ingredients come together (no more than 1/4 cup). Then add your essential oils, press into moulds and let sit overnight.

The next day press them out of the moulds and store in an airtight container.

To use - drop a BOMB (pardon the pun) into the toilet and let sit overnight. In the morning, flush and given the bowl a little scrub. You will have a sparkly toilet and your lungs will be thanking you for not using bleach.
